I have a long history of caring for, teaching, and generally loving on kids! As a adolescent, I frequently cared for the four other boys in my household, from changing diapers and checking temperatures to helping with algebra and chaperoning dates. I continued my work with children as a pre-teen camp counselor in the summer and a babysitter for teachers in my high school during the year. I majored in English with the goal of becoming a teacher, and tutored elementary aged children in reading in my spare time. I substituted for kindegarten and 1st grades, and have 3yrs as a professional educator in public schools teaching 7-12th graders across the achievement spectrum. Currently, I'm married with a 5 yr old stepson and volunteer in the infant room at church. I'm comfortable with all ages of children, and can not only care for, but also tutor, meet any special needs, and manage nutritional or other health needs with skill. In addition to having experience, and perhaps more importantly, I truly take joy in interacting with and taking care of children. I also currently have a small dog, but am comfortable with care for animals across spectrum. I'm a responsible, contientious care-taker willing to go the extra mile to make sure the things most important to you are safe and well-loved!
