I greatly enjoy working with a variety of people and am developing my specialties in trauma and abuse, EMDR, and working with women and first responder populations. I have provided these treatment modalities in in-person and virtual settings.I'm hoping to continue the development of my specialties and branch out into other arenas of care to meet the needs in our communities. I am also hoping to supplement my client hours in order to finish my associate license and gain full professional status with the state of Arizona. This and my past experience would make me an excellent candidate for service in your company. Below you will find a brief history of my work experience. For the majority of my professional career, I worked with children and families in varying forms and settings from Intensive Outpatient Program and Adult Drug Court, to crisis services, youth prevention programs including student support groups, and individual and group counseling with veterans, criminal justice populations and general community. I have a Masters degree in Professional Counseling focusing on individual, child and family therapies, and faith-based counseling. I gained experience in preparation for this career with several agencies addressing different populations and treatment milieux. I first began my training with Southwest Behavioral Health in Payson, AZ, early in my career conducting student support groups in the schools on topics such as social skills, anger management, tobacco cessation, alcohol and other drugs, abuse, and grief share. During my work with the agency, I also performed crisis services and participated applying IOP and Drug Court programs. As I pursued my Masters, I built upon my group facilitation training assisting staff counselors in the administration of an abuse survivor group at Scottsdale Bible Counseling Center as well as provided individual and couples’ therapy. Then, in my graduate program I was elected by my counseling department head to run groups in which fellow graduate students practiced counseling skills. In internship, I again performed crisis services, individual and family therapy, and co-facilitated therapy groups in an outpatient clinic. In these programs, I have recruited participants, structured curriculum, and facilitated groups delivering therapeutic content. I have benefited from the knowledg and experience of several skilled clinicians throughout my training making me an excellent fit as a clinical professional.
